Anderson Valley

Anderson Valley Brewing Company was founded in December 1987 in the town of Boonville, California. In the beginning, they brewed out of a modest 10-barrel brewhouse located in the lower level of the original brewpub, The Buckhorn Saloon. At the time, they were one of only 20 craft breweries in the country. AVBC has long been considered one of the pioneers of the craft beer industry. By the mid  1990s the demand for their award winning beers had outpaced their production capacity and so they started construction on a new 100 barrel brewery just down the road. They were able to procure two copper Huppmann brew houses from Germany. In 2000 they opened a new production facility and started selling their beers outside of Northern California. Today they sell beer in 29 states in the USA and 12 countries around the world.
